Another project based on Digispot® II is completed: information and sports radio station "Sport FM” (named "Radio Sport" before 13.01.2014), owned by the EMG holding, wins the hearts of sports fans in 45 cities throughout the country.

"Sport FM” promotes a new format for the Russian audience called "sport news talk". You can listen to live broadcast of major sporting events, reviews of events from sports world, programs with expert commentary and famous athletes, news, sports and social topics, and much more.

Tasks solved in the course of the project:

  • Creating a visualization system;
  • Installation of the Digispot software on the backup complex;
  • Installation of the Digispot software on the main complex.

The installation of the radio station was carried out by the team of "Tract" company and took place in two stages. During the first stage, a backup PPC (program-production complex) with an area of 600 square meters was equipped and prepared for radio broadcasts. Different solutions based on Digispot II were used. The most popular standard configuration became DJin R-News, which was installed for the staff in the newsroom. "Labour-intensive task was to intergrate a radiostation into common EMG structure, and it was successfuly solved. Technical staff of the radiostation had already worked with Digispot II, that's why top management agreed to use it despite its adherence to another native system", - mentioned our Digispot II specialist. Moving to a new building and the first live air on September, 9, 2013 became the finalization of the first stage.

Installation of the main complex was the second stage of the project. Equipment for the main PPC allowed to form traditional radio programs and provide the visualization of radio broadcasts in HD. Live webcast is available on the station's website. It is possible to watch the shows inside the studio and beyond it.

Thus, 33 workplaces were equipped. Such solutions as Scheduler Ultimate, DJin: Video Platform, and DJin: Video Operator based on Digispot II, DJin: Air-X Visual, DJin SJM, DJin R-News and BSC Editor were used. The second stage of the installation was completed in mid-December 2013. Digispot II system structure is available on a corresponding section.

The complex is built on the basis of the equipment produced by Axia (IP audio) and the automation systems Digispot II. A standard broadcast visualization solution within a single studio is realized on the basis of Digispot® II Visual Radio.
